This auction is for the One of a Kind Bob Saverine Signed "The Autographed Ball Company" Rookie Contract, signed six different times, as seen above. The pictured item is the actual item you will receive. The contract features his signature in 6 places! The year spot in the date was not filled in on this contract, but the facts that the date spot is 195_ , plus Saverine was signed by Baltimore in 1959, and The Autographed Ball Company signed players most often prior to their rookie season, would mean this was signed well before his eventual September, 1959 MLB debut. Bob Saverine played for the 1959 and 1962-64 Baltimore Orioles, and 1966-67 Washington Senators. As seen in the photo, the contract was folded in the past to fit into a small approximately 6" x 3 1/4" manila envelope. The contract will be in this original envelope, which has the player's name and team written on it, when shipped to the new owner.

, this company was started by MLB player Richard B. "Dick" Culler in 1947. If you have ever seen one of the classic vintage facsimile team signed baseballs that were available for sale at the ballparks and show up frequently in the hobby, these were created by The Autographed Ball Company. The company is still in business today providing the exact same service as it has for the last nearly 7 decades. They are the only company that has created the facsimile team signed baseballs, and will only create them for the current year teams. The multiple signatures at the bottom of these contracts were used to obtain the signature that would be used for that given player when their name was added to one of the team baseballs. In some cases, you will see marks on the front or back of the contract showing where the company literally made the decision of which of the player's signatures would be used. Please note that the Dick Culler signature on these contracts is a pre-printed facsimile part of the contract.
