We do not recommend this item for driving. It is to display it to notify someone about something. It is powerful enough to stay on moving items going no more than 20mph such as forklifts, golf carts, etc. However, we recommend a shorter pole for moving vehicles. Since they are rubber coated bases, they will not scratch the item it is gripped to.
